Not every professional photographer specializes in products. Photographing jewelry, cosmetics, food, apparel, electronics, and handmade goods all require different lighting techniques, styling skills, and editing expertise.

When reviewing a photographer's portfolio, ask yourself:

• Do the products look sharp and professionally lit?

• Is the lighting consistent across the images?

• Can you imagine your own products photographed in a similar style?

A photographer who consistently produces high-quality commercial work is far more likely to deliver images that elevate your brand.
